You’re Worth It

You’re Worth It | Note 571

How much is it costing you to do things that aren’t worth your time and energy?

As we get closer to the end of the year, we think about setting new years’ resolutions. We think about how we can improve our lives and what we can do to make the next year better. We say things like, I’m going to do this or that — you know, like next year, I am going to the gym, or I’m going to write that book.

Is your list filled with worthy goals or just things you’re thinking about doing? We talk about doing many things and compile a never-ending to-do list, but we never ask ourselves to do any of those things really matter.

You’re worth it, so why aren’t you doing things worth your time and focus?

Sure, you can do a lot — anything is possible. But the reality is you’re only going to move forward and make progress on things that matter. And to do that, you’ll have to decide who and what is worthy of your time. That includes hanging out with people not worth your time or letting insignificant things stand in the way of setting and accomplishing worthy goals.

What’s a worthy goal? A goal worth your time and focus on — a goal that matters to you and the world.

Think of it like this: Does the stuff on your never-ending to-do list really matter? Is any of it worth your time?

Here’s a news flash for you. When you set worthy goals, you’ll stay the course and break through any barriers to ensure it gets done.

Why? Because you’re doing something that matters.

Doing what matters to you is what matters. You’re worth it.
